MSCorp is a privately held Small Business (SB) marine engineering firm specializing in Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics disciplines. The scope of services encompasses all Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E), and cyber systems, and covers the following areas: Conceptual, Preliminary and Detailed Design, CAD support, Engineering, Analysis, Assessment of Condition, Program Management, Integrated Logistic Support, Test and Evaluation, Shipboard Installation, System Design and Engineering, Cost Estimating of Alterations and Repairs, Specification Development, Computer Configuration/Cyber Support, Trial Card Management, Quality Engineering, Technical Documentation, and On-Site Technical Engineering.
MSCorp has provided top quality program management, engineering, logistics, and technical support services for the US Navy, US Army, Department of Transportation, Military Sealift Command, US Coast Guard, Maritime Administration, General Services Administration, and public and private shipyards. We have a demonstrated record of successful management of more than 120 DON prime contracts and numerous additional marine support contracts for Government, state, and commercial customers. We offer International Standards Organization (ISO)-compliant quality processes/procedures, and a history of outstanding support to a wide variety of Shipboard engineering, technical, logistics, maintenance, installation/alterations and program support efforts. With over 45 years of Naval and maritime engineering experience and 35 years of non-marine industrial experience, we provide technically sound solutions to complex problems.
In addition to our headquarters in Boston, MA, we maintain full service offices in Ft. Monroe (Hampton), VA and Panama City Beach, FL, as well as representatives in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA, San Diego, CA, Mobile, AL, Mayport, FL, Bath, ME, and Marinette, WI.
Our Staff
MSCorp’s employees are our most important asset and we work as a team, continually striving to meet and exceed customer expectations. To provide our clients with the highest level of professionalism and technical expertise, our staff consists of a diverse group of employees including Engineers, Technicians, Program & Project Managers, and Administrators. Numerous members of our staff previously served in the military, were employed by the US Government, worked in shipyards, were employed by maritime transportation agencies, or worked in other related private sector companies, with many holding advanced degrees, certifications and licenses in Engineering, Business Administration, and Law. This full range of expertise allows MSCorp to provide complete program or project support of almost any scale.
Our staff is well versed and experienced in Naval Engineering & Design, Planning & Estimating, Scheduling, Data Analysis, Material Support, Quality Assurance, Integrated Logistics, Training Support, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and Program & Project Management which enables them to professionally and effectively take on the most challenging projects. As needed, our fulltime staff is supplemented by expert consultants whose in depth knowledge in their specific fields allows MSCorp to meet the full spectrum of our customers technical requirements.
Our History
MSCorp is a privately held Small Business founded in Boston, Massachusetts on September 27, 1973. The company was established to provide technical support to the US Navy following the official closure of the Boston Naval Shipyard. While the US Navy continues to be one of MSCorp’s core customers, the company has expanded the scope of its technical design & engineering services to include commercial and non-commercial marine customers, in addition to supporting non-marine customers.
Over the years, to better support our clients, MSCorp has established numerous regional field offices scattered around the continental United States (such as in Philadelphia, PA, Key West, FL, and Newport, RI) – a presence that has shifted as the US Navy consolidates and relocates its resources. Currently, Marine Systems maintains offices in Boston, MA; Norfolk, VA; Panama City, FL; and San Diego, CA with regional liaisons at major naval facilities.
